This is how you can block chats on WhatsApp
The first thing you need to do is go to the main chat bar, the one at the top. The individual chats menu will open there, where you will find the 'Chat blocking' option.

How to hide blocked chats

And yes, you will now have to set a password, at least 4 characters long, that you can easily remember. Then press 'Next'. Then, you will have to repeat the password and press the 'Done' button. Now, your blocked chats will not appear at the top of your chat window.

To access blocked chats, you will have to type the secret code in the WhatsApp search bar. Once you type it, the blocked chats folder will appear again.
